How we can help
We will evaluate the factors contributing to your dental issues and offer tailored advice to help you achieve and maintain the best possible oral health. We consider how aspects like your diet, saliva, and unique life circumstances affect your oral health.
-
Common recommendations we provide include using specialised dental products for at-home care and scheduling regular professional check-ups and cleanings. While we focus on preventing oral diseases, when prevention isn’t feasible, we implement risk management strategies to slow the progression of dental problems.
-
Some of our patients have progressive health conditions that increase the risk of dental issues over time. By having regular professional dental visits, we can monitor changes and adjust your Oral Care Plan as needed. Our treatment plans are flexible and evolve with your oral health needs.
-
We recognise that maintaining optimal oral hygiene can be challenging for some individuals, particularly those with sensory sensitivities, strong gag reflexes, aspiration risks, or movement disorders. We offer oral hygiene education for patients, family members, and carers. While perfect oral hygiene may not always be achievable, with the right guidance and a positive approach, we can often make significant improvements together.
-
We can provide reports and recommendations for other healthcare and support professionals. NDIS funding can assist with allied health assessments and support to help address barriers to daily oral hygiene care. This can assist with sensory challenges, muscle tone issues, and both fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, NDIS funds oral health professionals to conduct home visits and work directly with dental patients and their carers.
