Interdisciplinary management and care co-ordination
Maintaining good oral health often requires a team approach. You may need assistance in scheduling dental visits or brushing your teeth, and a dietitian can help with food choices that reduce decay risk while promoting healthy weight. At times, we collaborate with doctors to ensure safe medical and dental treatment planning. Other professionals, including speech pathologists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, may also play a role in your oral health care.
At All Ability Dental, we regularly provide recommendations to aged care and disability support professionals for oral care and behavioural support plans.
We can arrange tailored oral health education sessions for family members and carers based on your specific needs. When necessary, we provide reports to your medical practitioners to keep them informed about your oral health and coordinate with other professionals to monitor your oral hygiene, ensuring timely referrals to a dentist when needed. Co-consultations with other health professionals can be arranged at our clinic, through our mobile dental service, or via teledentistry.
You are not required to have all your dental care with us. We are happy to discuss care options outside our clinic, including treatment with your general dentist or in the public sector, as our primary focus is ensuring you receive the necessary care.
